Restoration software alternatives,
compared honestly.
Restoration companies usually shop for software with one tool already in mind. Here is what the best-known ones are built for, where Renovo overlaps, and where you would keep them. Each description is a summary of the vendor's own public materials; check the vendor for current features and pricing.
- One system, or the best tool per task?
- Insurance work, retail work, or both?
- Do you also run the rebuild?
- Where do your books live?
- What do your carriers require?
What each tool
is built for.
Renovo is a whole-company system: claims, drying, estimating, scheduling, CRM, job costing and accounting, plus the construction tools for the rebuild. That is the lens for each comparison below.
- Xactimate alternative?Xactimate (Verisk) is the estimating platform many insurers standardise on, with its own price lists. Renovo has its own claim estimating — RCV, ACV, depreciation, O&P — but if your carriers require Xactimate, keep it for the estimate and upload its PDF to the claim in Renovo.
- DASH alternative?DASH (Cotality, formerly CoreLogic and Next Gear Solutions) is restoration job management for the office and the field. Renovo covers the same job management and adds its own estimating, CRM pipeline, payroll, and a double-entry ledger.
- Encircle alternative?Encircle is field documentation for restoration — photos, drying logs, moisture mapping, contents and reports. Renovo does the documentation too, and keeps it on the same record as the schedule, the estimate and the invoice.
- Albi alternative?Albi is restoration job management with a built-in CRM, scheduling and mobile access. Renovo overlaps on those and adds insurance estimating, a full ledger with QuickBooks sync, and the construction tools for reconstruction.
When Renovo is
the best restoration software for you.
Renovo fits restoration companies that want one record from first call to final invoice, do their own rebuilds or retail work alongside insurance work, and are tired of re-keying a loss into four systems. If you need only a documentation app, or your carriers dictate every tool, a narrower product may suit you better.
Xactimate and XactAnalysis are trademarks of Verisk; DASH of Cotality; Encircle and Albi of their respective owners. Renovo is not affiliated with any of them, and names their products only to compare.
Asked
often.
Compare alternatives in Renovo, answered.
What is the best restoration software?
The one that matches how you work. If you want claims, drying, estimating, scheduling, CRM and accounting in one system, Renovo is built for that; if you need one specialised tool, compare it on that task alone.
Can Renovo replace Xactimate?
For your own estimating, yes. For carriers that require an Xactimate estimate, no — keep Xactimate for those and attach its PDF to the claim.
Can we move from another restoration system?
Yes. Customers, vendors and price lists import, and we help on the onboarding call.
